“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” — 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)
Ephesians 6:13-18
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
Paul tells us that with Jesus on our side, we have the Armor of God. This armor protects us when we face difficult or challenging times in our lives — and we all will! Paul says there are six different pieces of armor: the belt of Truth, the breastplate of Righteousness, the shoes of Peace, the shield of Faith, the helmet of Salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. So, no matter what happens in our lives, we can always remember that Jesus gives us His power, and we are never alone.
Why do you think we need the Armor of God? (Because the enemy of God, Satan, will try to trick us, and we will face difficult or challenging times in our lives.)
What can we do when we feel scared, sad, or in a tricky spot? (We can remember that Jesus gives us His power and that when we follow Him, we have the Armor of God.)
Thank you, Jesus, for giving us your power so that when we have difficult or challenging things in our lives, we can rely on your strength to help us through. I pray that we will always remember the love and the power you give us. It’s in your amazing name we pray, amen.

Galatians 5:22-23
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
In these verses, Paul reminds us that when we follow Jesus, the Holy Spirit helps grow these wonderful “fruits” in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These aren’t just nice things to have—they help us show others what Jesus is like! When we choose to trust and follow Jesus, He gives us His power to live this way every day. And as we grow in these fruits, we can help others see God’s love through us.
Which fruits of the Spirit do you think you’re really good at? Which one do you want to grow in more? (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control)
Why do you think it’s important to share about Jesus through the fruits of the Spirit? (Because Jesus’ love is for everyone, and some people may not know about Him.)
Thank you, Jesus, for giving us Your power and the fruits of the Spirit. I pray that we will learn to trust You more and more and rely on Your strength. Help us to share about You with everyone we meet. It’s in Your amazing name we pray, amen.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
In these verses, Paul helps us understand what real love looks like. It’s not just a feeling—it’s something we show through our actions. Love means being patient and kind, not being rude or selfish. It means sticking with people, even when things get tough. And here’s the amazing part: we can love this way because Jesus gives us His power! His love fills our hearts and helps us care for not just our family, but for everyone around us, just like Jesus does.
What is one thing you can do today to show someone—maybe your family or friends—the love of Jesus? (Like helping with chores, cooking with your parents, or sharing with your friends.)
Why do you think Jesus gives us His power? (So we can share His love with others and remember He’s always with us.)
Thank you, Jesus, for giving us Your power to love others the same way You do. I pray that we will always try to be kind and patient with everyone we meet. Help us remember that You are with us, even in the most difficult times. We love You, and it’s in Your name we pray, amen.
